Liverpool fans on Twitter loved Klopp’s answer when asked about FA charge

Premier League - Liverpool v Leicester City

Liverpool fans will be looking to get some form back when they face Manchester United on Sunday after only winning one of their last four clashes. However, it won’t be easy and Jurgen Klopp will be keen to avoid any more FA charges after picking up a £45,000 fine for his comments about Kevin Friend after his side’s 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Klopp on accepting FA charge: “I won’t make any comments on that because comments are obviously pretty expensive.”

In the German’s press conference ahead of his side’s trip to Old Trafford on Sunday, he was asked about his FA charge, having previously accepted the fine, and he replied with something that had a lot of Liverpool fans chuckling. Having already paid £45,000 for his initial comments, Klopp claimed he wouldn’t be making further comment because comments are ‘obviously pretty expensive’.

This weekend could be a huge one for the Kopites, and going into the game the Anfield boss will be desperate to have nothing hanging over his head in the form of an off-field issue. In that sense, accepting his charge and brushing it under the carpet appears to be the best move he could have made, and now he can continue his preparations for what promises to be a very difficult clash on Sunday.

The Reds cannot get enough of their charismatic manager and will be hoping he can get back to winning ways against Man United on Sunday.
