Liverpool fans on Twitter pleased to see Henderson ruled out of Red Star and Cardiff clashes

Most football fans tend to be gutted when one of their players picks up an injury and has to miss a few games, let alone one it’s their club captain. However, Liverpool fans, being as they are, seem delighted as James Pearce has tweeted to confirm Jordan Henderson will miss games against Red Star Belgrade and Cardiff with a knee injury.

Klopp confirms to club media that Jordan Henderson will miss the Red Star game and probably Cardiff on Saturday too with a hamstring injury. Naby Keita still ruled out. #LFC

Some fans are delighted about Henderson being out because it gives Fabinho the opportunity to play and make his full debut, although a lot of them are just pleased because it means Henderson won’t be playing himself. The 28-year-old midfielder gets a lot of flak for his performances and whilst even his biggest fans will admit he’s not the flashiest player, he still doesn’t deserve to have Liverpool fans celebrating his injuries.

One man who certainly won’t be pleased that Henderson is out injured will be Jurgen Klopp. The Liverpool gaffer is going through something of an injury crisis and even some of those who are available aren’t fully fit. The last few weeks have seen Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, James Milner, Naby Keita and now Henderson suffer injury blows and availability scares and now that the club captain, Hendo is out it certainly shouldn’t be a reason to celebrate for The Reds.
