Jordan Henderson had only returned from injury last weekend when he featured against Fulham off the bench, helping his side to see out their 2-0 win in the final 20 minutes. Now, though, the 28-year-old has been crocked again whilst training with England and the Reds are ready to bin him off as his consistent injuries and inconsistent performances are starting to frustrate the fans.

Henderson has never been universally popular at Liverpool. The midfielder was signed as a promising attacking midfielder from Sunderland back in summer 2011. However, when it became clear that Steven Gerrard would be retiring, a lot of fans looked to Henderson as the direct replacement. That simply hasn’t been the case and as you’d expect, Hendo hasn’t been able to live up to the legacy of Stevie G, leaving him unpopular with the fans.
Either way, Henderson is still the club captain at Anfield and whilst a lot of the supporters don’t have faith in him, Jurgen Klopp does and that’s all that matters. The Kopites are in a position where they could be in with a chance of winning the Premier League and Klopp will need to be able to rely upon his leaders in the dressing room if that is to happen. Seeing as Henderson is one of his main men, it’s unlikely to see Klopp heed the calls of the supporters and let him go.
Despite that, you can read The Reds’ calls to have Henderson binned here:

Man City has moved on from Kompany; Arsenal from Mertesacker/Koscielny. Why can’t we? This is not a diss on Hendo, but we have to look at the bigger picture and establish a long term solution here.

Blessing in disguise, hope there’s nothing seriously wrong but this gives us a chance to try the Fab-Keita-Shaqiri midfield

The Kopites are far from pleased with Henderson and will hope he can get back to fitness so he can be sold as soon as possible.
