Liverpool fans on Twitter simply can’t overlook Mane’s Bayern opener as goal of the month

We’ve come to that time again where Liverpool fans on Twitter are asked to vote for their goal of the month. The month of March saw some cracking goals scored by the Reds all through the club, although the fans simply cannot overlook Sadio Mane’s sublime touch, turn and dink over Manuel Neuer in the Champions League.

The Reds can log on and go to the Liverpool website to register their votes, and there is plenty of goals to choose from. A number of Mane strikes are in the there as well as goals from Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino, Rhian Brewster, Fidel O’Rourke and Bobby Duncan, yet the odds are surely in Mane’s favour as of the ten goals up for the vote, five of them were netted by the Senegalese winger.

In truth, this one is likely to be no competition. The Kopites will all be looking to that night in Munich where they came away 3-1 winners against one of the biggest football clubs in the world. Sadio Mane opened and closed the scoring that night, and his first goal made Manuel Neuer look silly, so it’s inevitable that his opener on that famous evening will win the award.

The goal of the month is Mane's first vs. Bayern. Manuel Neuer is a great goalie, but Sadio sends him the wrong way before putting it in the back of the net with a great chip. For a close second, I would pick Firminho's header vs. Spurs, cannot deny Robertson's role in that goal.
