Football can be a cut-throat business and if the fans aren’t behind a player or manager it could easily spell the end for them. At Liverpool at the moment, that man is the club captain, Jordan Henderson. The midfielder took to the Liverpool website with some quotes about how this team is the strongest Liverpool side he’s seen and a lot of fans started slating him in the replies.

Henderson has been at Liverpool for seven years now and a lot of fans believe it’s high time he ended that by leaving Anfield. The midfielder has contributed some great moments to the club, but at the moment, most fans would rather see him dropped as Jurgen Klopp’s midfield looks stronger than ever. However, it’s hard to see Klopp deciding to sell his club captain anytime soon.
Henderson is currently away on international duty with England and has opted to stay with the squad despite being suspended for tonight’s clash, and a lot of fans aren’t happy with their number 14. On the pitch, Henderson gets accused of having nothing going forward, passing backwards and sideways and generally slowing down Liverpool’s fast and fluid attacking game. It’s for that reason that a lot of fans have jumped on him and started calling for him to be sold, especially with the extra depth they’ve got now.

The Reds aren’t too keen on Henderson and would feel a lot better about their title chances if the midfielder was sold on in the coming January window.
