Last night saw a lot of Liverpool fans tune in to watch Germany take on The Netherlands in their final match of the UEFA Nations League. The game finished 2-2 thanks to a late Virgil van Dijk equaliser from The Dutch, although it was a stunning opening goal from RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner which got The Reds talking, and most of them would love to snap up the German in January.
The young German striker has shown the world just what he’s capable of since he made the move from Stuttgart to Leipzig back in summer 2016. The electric frontman as grabbed himself a healthy return of 50 goals in 91 appearances for his current club and with the world watching, he again delivered last night when he struck a beauty from outside the box into the bottom corner against Ronald Koeman’s Dutch side.
A lot of fans would love to see how Werner would fare if he was to swap the Bundesliga for the Premier League and loads of Liverpool fans would be willing to take the punt on the youngster. Under Jurgen Klopp there’s no doubting that Werner could thrive, especially with the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane playing around him and creating space. For now, it’s just the fans desperation to sign him, but if he keeps performing then Klopp may be willing to have a go on the German international.

#LFC have sent scouts to RB Leipzig again in the last 2 weeks. It’s thought they’re looking at Timo Werner and Jean-Kevin Augustin. Hassenhuttl is leaving RB Leipzig at the end of the season, so #LFC think it’ll be easier to negotiate than previous dealings with the club.

The Reds would be overjoyed if they signed Werner and it’s definitely a move that would improve the current Liverpool squad.
