Liverpool: Fans overjoyed by Harvey Elliott fee

Many Liverpool fans have been reacting in delight after a conclusion to Harvey Elliott’s compensation claim by Fulham was reached.

According to The Times’ journalist Paul Joyce, the Reds will have to pay £1.2m upfront to the Cottagers for the 17-year-old, which could rise to £4.3m depending on first-team appearances, and there is also a 20% sell-on clause attached to the deal.

Elliott is currently on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers and allegedly left one of his senior teammates stunned, as the player stated that he was the “best 17-year-old” he had ever seen.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is also a huge fan of the youngster, who has scored four goals and provided eight assists in 23 appearances this season (Transfermarkt).

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool supporters were overjoyed by the low fee that is being paid for Elliott, with one fan praising the club’s owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) who have received scrutiny in recent weeks over their handling of transfers.
