Many Liverpool fans are delighted with a recent interview from Emre Can regarding offers he received before he moved to Borussia Dortmund. The German midfielder admitted Manchester United showed interest in his services, but he never gave it a second thought (via Sky Sports).
The former Red joined latest club Dortmund on loan from Juventus at the beginning of this year, but revealed in a recent interview that the German giants weren’t the only club to register interest.
“I had three Premier League deals alone,” Can told reporters. “Man United was one of them but I haven’t thought about that for a second because of my Liverpool past.”

Liverpool fans are loving his response, which seems to have settled some unsteady waters left over from when he departed the club in 2018.
The 26-year-old spent four years at Anfield before leaving as a free agent. He won the BBC and Carling Goal of the Season awards for his bicycle kick strike against Watford (via Liverpool).
Many fans are doffing their caps to the German for his loyalty to the club, with one supporter thrilled he is ‘still a Red at heart’.

Never understood the hate towards him, some lfc fans tryna put him on the same bandwagon as Coutinho

Always had respect for the way Can conducted himself when leaving. Thought he was making the wrong decision and didn’t like him for it but this shows he still has respect for us unlike 2 certain rats
