Liverpool: Fans plead with Anfield club to sign David Alaba

Many Liverpool fans have been pleading with their club to sign Bayern Munich defender David Alaba after a recent update was provided.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are one of five clubs who are interested in his services as he is seemingly looking to sign a pre-contract agreement ahead of his now seemingly inevitable transfer next summer.

However, he added that Real Madrid are currently leading the race to sign the player and he said that talks have already significantly progressed, making Liverpool the outsiders to capture the defender.

Manager Jurgen Klopp currently finds himself without any established central defenders to choose from in his squad. Both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez suffered serious knee injuries and have ruled out for a significant amount of time, with Joel Matip facing a three-week spell on the sidelines after aggravating his adductor.

Because of this, supporters urged the Anfield club for the Austria international – who has won nine league titles and two Champions Leagues with the Bundesliga giants, scoring 32 goals and providing 49 assists in 405 appearances – to be signed. (TransferMarkt).
