Liverpool: Fans rave about ‘underrated’ star dubbed ‘better than Foden’

Share

Fans of Liverpool have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club reflected on Curtis Jones’ Reds career thus far.

Making his Liverpool debut in a 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Milton Keynes Dons back in September 2019, Jones has gone on to feature 26 times for Jurgen Klopp’s side, chipping in with six goals and providing two assists along the way.

Rather remarkably, Liverpool have lost only two fixtures that the £4.5 million-rated central midfielder has featured in, with the 19-year-old already owning both a Premier League and a FIFA Club World Cup winner’s medal.

So far this season, Jones has found himself increasingly involved in Klopp’s first-team plans, having already made 13 appearances in all competitions for the Reds.

And, after the club tweeted their appreciation of Jones on the anniversary of his Premier League debut, fans of Liverpool flocked to heap praise on the midfielder, with some stating their belief that the 19-year-old is better than Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden.
