Liverpool: Fans react as ‘horror’ stat regarding Manchester United emerges

Many Liverpool fans have been reacting to a statistic regarding their record against arch-rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup.

The record books suggest that 12th January 1921 was the last time that the Reds went to Old Trafford and beat the Red Devils on their own soil in this competition. Since that meeting, and including replays, Liverpool have failed to come out on top on five different occasions.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have drawn against the Premier League leaders in the Fourth Round of the competition, following their 4-1 victory against an undermanned Aston Villa team.

The Reds Devils got there courtesy of a cagey 1-0 win over Watford, with the two sides set to come face to face on January 23rd, with Liverpool hoping to rewrite history.

As a result, supporters were galvanised by the revelation, with most suggesting that it is time to end his poor run against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
