James Pearce has provided an update on the upcoming Merseyside derby, as well as some information on a potential club milestone.
On Sunday, the Reds will visit their neighbours at Goodison Park and hope to clinch their first-ever Premier League title. This can only be done, though, if Arsenal beat Manchester City tomorrow night, meaning all eyes will be on them for the time being.

Pearce has revealed that Mike Dean will be the referee to officiate the Merseyside derby and he’s also provided a fun fact that could write Jurgen Klopp into the history books. If the Reds can avoid defeat on enemy turf, the German will become the first manager in Liverpool history to go 11 derbies undefeated from the start of their tenure.
Now, with seemingly even more at stake, many fans have responded to Pearce’s tweet in mild panic. One fan is worried that The Athletic reporter has jinxed them, but many others are far too excited as they look ahead to Sunday.
