The 25-year-old Germany international spent four years at Anfield, scoring 14 goals in 167 appearances for the Reds, before leaving Merseyside to sign for Juventus last summer.
Can rejected a new contract at Liverpool during the 2017/18 season, saying that he wanted to emulate childhood idol Zinedine Zidane by playing for Juventus, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
However, having started only 22 Serie A and Champions League games for the Turin club last season and played just 30 minutes in the league so far this term, he has struggled to make an impact in Italy.
These Liverpool fans on Twitter didn’t feel too sorry for Can being left out of his club’s Champions League squad:

To be fair he wouldn’t be named in the Liverpool squad either! These players who think they are bigger than Liverpool soon learn and there is no turning back!
