Fans of Liverpool have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which provided an update on the fitness of Alisson Becker.
According to The Athletic reporter James Pearce (via Anfield Watch), Alisson, who missed Liverpool’s 1-0 Champions League victory over Ajax, as well as the club’s 4-0 Premier League victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers due to injury, is ‘responding well to treatment’ and ‘could return to action at Fulham next Sunday’.

However, 22-year-old Caoimhin Kelleher has shone in the absence of the £72 million-rated Brazilian, keeping clean sheets in both of the aforementioned fixtures, earning a highly impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.88 in the Ajax match, as well as a 7.46 WhoScored match rating in the Wolves clash.
As such, somewhat surprisingly, in reaction to the news of Alisson’s potential return to action for Jurgen Klopp’s side, many Liverpool fans appeared to be rather unmoved, with a great deal stating their belief that Kelleher would be fine to play if the Brazilian is not ready to regain his starting spot against Fulham, with some jokingly saying they might play the Irishman even if Alisson is fit!
