Liverpool trio Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson have all been called up to the England squad ahead of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Czech Republic.

It comes as little surprise that Gareth Southgate has selected the three players, particularly Henderson, who has been a regular for the Three Lions for years now and has won 53 caps.
Alexander-Arnold has beaten competition from Manchester City’s Kyle Walker to be selected as one of two right-backs in the squad alongside Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier.
As for Gomez, his inclusion is perhaps a little more surprising given his lack of game-time for Liverpool this season. The 22-year-old has found himself behind Joel Matip in the pecking order at Anfield and has only made one Premier League start so far this term.
However, Southgate appears to rate the former Charlton Athletic man, whose seven England caps have all come under the management of the 49-year-old.
Many Liverpool fans were quick to react to the announcement that three of their players had been selected for England, with most congratulating them on their call-ups.
There were some, though, who expressed their concerns about the potential of the Reds players picking up knocks while away, while one fan felt that two other England internationals in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana should have been called up alongside the trio.
