The Reds’ former No. 10 decided to leave Anfield in January 2018 after five seasons at the club, following his £8.5m move from Inter Milan.

Coutinho was a major figure with the Merseysiders but angered the Kop faithful in the manner of his departure.

He managed to score 54 goals and provided 45 assists in 201 appearances before he left for £142m, while the Reds used the funds to bring in Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker respectively.

The Brazil international struggled at the Nou Camp and his former side knocked the Catalan giants out of the Champions League after they were 3-0 up in the first leg. Indeed, he was booed upon his return to Anfield during last season’s famous comeback.

As a result, he moved to Bayern Munich on a season-long loan, where he has currently managed seven goals and seven assists, as per TransferMarkt.

Supporters were quick to point out how wise their club was and what a foolish decision the Brazilian made by choosing to move to Spain.
