James Milner has been one of the rocks of the Liverpool team this season. The experienced, versatile midfielder has shown his class for Jurgen Klopp’s side and after last night’s disappointment against Napoli, the 32-year-old took to Twitter to call for a reaction on Sunday against Manchester City.

Milner started at the Stadio San Paulo but was hooked with around 15 minutes to play as Fabinho entered the fray. That meant that Milner wasn’t on the pitch when the decisive goal was conceded, although he will still feel partly responsible for the loss, as will the rest of the squad, and he will be hoping that he can help the side bounce back when Manchester City travel to Anfield on Sunday.
James Milner, having won two Premier League titles with Manchester City, will be keen to win a third title this season, even it means having to usurp his former side at the top the table. This Sunday could be a huge game so early on in the title race and if Liverpool are able to overcome Pep Guardiola’s City then it would set a real marker in the Premier League and give Liverpool a three-point lead over The Citizens.
