Talks between Philippe Coutinho and Liverpool over a potential return to Anfield look to be hearsay after a journalist’s recent comments.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian will not be returning to the Merseyside club he left two years ago in search for pastures new.

Despite the interest from several Premier League clubs, the Reds are reportedly not on the list of potential suitors for Coutinho. In response to an Instagram post (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), Romano commented the midfielder is ‘not coming back’ to Merseyside.
Several reports have linked the 28-year-old to Liverpool, as well as fellow English sides Newcastle and Chelsea. It was recently revealed that Barcelona would be willing to pay a fraction of Coutinho’s wage in order to sway someone to take him off their hands (via The Telegraph).
