It can be all too easy to pile in and blame one player for costing a side everything when they pass up a chance in a decisive game. For Liverpool fans at the moment, that player is ex-Man City man Kelechi Iheanacho, who spurned a massive chance in the dying minutes against his former employers last night, and the Reds are suspicious.
OH IHEANACHO

Liverpool fans have seen two of their former managers in Roy Hodgson and Rafa Benitez take points off of Manchester City this season, and likewise, Man City have now seen their former player pass up a chance to take points off of them. The Kopites aren’t happy one bit, though, as they believe the Nigerian international spurned the chance on purpose to the aid of his former side.
Realistically, Iheanacho is a man out of form. He signed for Leicester from Man City for a sum of £25 million in summer 2017 but has failed to live up to expectation at The King Power Stadium. His aim will be to usurp Jamie Vardy as the main man for the Foxes, but with misses like yesterday’s he’ll struggle to do that, and that is exactly why the Reds who were nervously watching on last night aren’t happy.

The Reds were far from happy with Iheanacho and will not be hoping for a miracle against Wolves on Sunday whilst Man City travel to Brighton.
