Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was left angry over the penalty given to Napoli in the Reds’ Champions League defeat in Italy.
Andrew Robertson was penalised for an apparent foul on Jose Callejon, even though contact on the Napoli man was minimal, and Klopp felt afterwards that Callejon jumped before there was any contact with the Liverpool left-back, as reported by Sky Sports.
One man who had little sympathy for the Liverpool manager was Matt Le Tissier, who took to Twitter to accuse Klopp of hypocrisy over his stance on the penalty decision [via @mattletiss7].
Was the next bit of the sentence “unless it’s one of my players” ? Most managers guilty of this hypocrisy not just Klopp btw https://t.co/vFupevTUWo

The Sky Sports pundit and former Southampton player has had his say on refereeing decisions involving Liverpool before, claiming on Twitter that the officials had a part to play in the Reds winning 3-1 at St Mary’s last season. [via Empire of the Kop]
Le Tissier also had a tongue-in-cheek dig at Liverpool when they sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, jokingly calling them “a feeder club” after the Reds had signed several players from Southampton in previous years. [via dreamteamfc.com]
These Liverpool fans on Twitter were left annoyed at Le Tissier’s comments about Klopp:
You’re a weird man? Obviously if it goes for you you’re quiet but if it’s wrongly against you, you’re not allowed a say? Jesus everyone is enjoying this like as if we’re eliminated.

You seriously need to let sadio mane and virgil van dijk go you know ? His point was aimed at VAR not overuling it . Not at any point did we win a penalty from a dive in a VAR officiated game .

Fat Matt still hasn’t left Southampton

On the one occasion Salah did dive (after being hacked, pulled & held repeatedly w/o any foul given), Klopp called him out for it at his presser. Your anti-Liverpool agenda is really pathetic

Typical Le Tiss having a pop at Liverpool, bitterness is a sweet thing for us looking down at the rest of you lot. @mattletiss7
