Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to laud their captain Jordan Henderson for his excellent performance against Crystal Palace, as the Reds fought back from a goal down to win 4-3 in front of a raucous Anfield crowd.
The England international recorded a 93.7% passing accuracy from his 111 passes, just one less that Virgil van Dijk who made the most out of any Liverpool player.
Where Henderson has often been accused of playing safe and passing the ball sideways or backwards, he was noticeably forward thinking against the Eagles and instrumental in what could turn out to be a huge win.
Impressively, the former Sunderland man showed why he wears the armband for Jurgen Klopp with a battling, industrious display against a Crystal Palace side whose performance more than merited a point – Roy Hodgson’s men became the first team to score three goals at Anfield this season.
Let’s see how fans of the Merseyside-based club reacted to their skipper’s showing…

Is it okay to admit that Jordan Henderson had a really good game yesterday or is it too soon? #LFC
