Liverpool: Fans lambaste Neco Williams during Brighton encounter

Many Liverpool fans were not happy with right-back Neco Williams during their side’s Premier League clash against Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
The 19-year-old started on the right-hand side of a makeshift Liverpool defence as the Reds continue to struggle with injuries in that department.
Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold were ruled out for the tie at the Amex Stadium, which saw the Wales international come in for the English playmaker.
But Williams conceded a first-half penalty after clumsily bringing down Seagulls forward Aaron Connolly in the 18-yard box, leaving the referee with little choice but to point to the spot. However, Neal Maupay was unable to convert and missed the target altogether, despite sending goalkeeper Alisson Becker the wrong way (via Fotmob).
Should Neco Williams be dropped?
Yes

No

As a result, fans were left fuming by the youngster’s actions, with some suggesting that game time out on loan in the Championship would benefit him.
Fans not impressed with Williams
If you want the #lfc midfield to be flat with no creativity, just play Milner. This high backline with no fast CBs may cost us this game. And Neco proving he isn’t good enough.
