Pino has been in impressive form over 2021/2022, managing the joint-second most goals and assists combined (6G, 4A) for Villarreal this season at just 19-years-old.

He's already breaking records, becoming the youngest ever La Liga player to score a first half hat-trick recently when he bagged a brilliant four goals against Espanyol at the end of February.

Taking this into account, it's little wonder Liverpool are interested, with El Desmarque now sharing a development.

The Latest: Liverpool make pre-summer move...

As per their information, Liverpool have made a pre-summer move for Pino - establishing 'contacts' as Fenway Sports Group have already 'knocked on the player's door'.

However, if the Reds wish to sign him, they may have to pay his marquee €80 million (£67m) release clause.

The Verdict: Exciting player...

Already described as a 'special' player performing at the 'top level' by Fabrizio Romano, it is little wonder Liverpool have knocked on his door.

El Desmarque, though, report FSG and Jurgen Klopp will face real competition as Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester City also make an approach.

If the Anfield side do win the race, going by his sensational campaign to date, they may well have a real prospect on their hands.
