Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has reportedly agreed terms with Barcelona amid a transfer to the La Liga outfit.
The Merseysiders may have their hands tied over this potential move as they continue to monitor major target Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich. James Pearce recently admitted that the Reds are likely to be forced into selling existing players before being able to pursue a move for the Spain midfielder.
Should Liverpool keep or sell Gini Wijnaldum?
According to FootballJOE, Wijnaldum and Barcelona have agreed personal terms and he could be on his way to Spain for a fee of £15m.
With the 29-year-old having a Transfermarkt value of £36m, many Liverpool fans are furious that such a low sum is being offered for the Dutchman’s services. One supporter has replied to the tweet with the sarcastic question ‘is Messi coming the other way?’ as they feel that Wijnaldum is worth a lot more than his reported price tag, while the Argentina striker has been strongly linked with an exit from Camp Nou.
Another fan thinks the transfer update is a ‘joke’, especially after the playmaker helped the Reds win their sixth Champions League trophy last year after his brace against Barcelona in the semi-final at Anfield.

15m are you joking me is Messi coming the other way then ? We won’t spend 25m on Thiago but we will sell Gini for this ?

How are we only getting 15million on him but Thiago is worth 30million, both in the last year of their contracts

Has massive PL experience (LFC&Newcastle) hard working midfielder, fans love him & players.
Still has 4-5 good seasons in those legs
If it ain’t broke don’t try and fix it
Shame FSG need to sell to buy Thiago.
Even with Covid, season was profitable
