Many Liverpool fans have been lauding an update in their pursuit of Ozan Kabak as Christian Falk told Milan News that Jurgen Klopp’s team are considering as to whether to make a move for the FC Schalke 04 star in the January transfer window.
The Turkey international may well be seen as a possible replacement for Virgil Van Dijk given that the latter suffered a brutal knee injury earlier on in the 2020/21 term and thus has been ruled out of action for several months, if not the entire campaign.
Would Kabak be a good signing for Liverpool?
Not only is Kabak built in a similar stature to the Netherlands international, being over six feet tall and extremely physical, but the central defender has also shown that he can dominate his opponent, winning a pretty impressive 6.8 of his duels per game in the Bundesliga so far this season (Sofascore).
He is also no stranger to coming out with the ball at his feet as well, averaging 2.5 successful dribbles per match, and is similar to van Dijk in this sense as he is comfortable in possession.
Liverpool fan reaction to Kabak update
