Further news on Liverpool’s interest in Jadon Sancho has been revealed, but it’s not an update fans have taken kindly to.
It was recently reported that the Dortmund superstar would prefer a move to Merseyside over joining heavily-linked club Manchester United. Now, Jurgen Klopp himself has said he would love to sign the 20-year-old but Liverpool do not have the funds at the moment to facilitate the move, according to Jan Aage Fjortoft (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom).

Sancho is one of the world’s most highly sought after young players right now after his blistering season in the Bundesliga. The winger tallied 17 goals and 17 assists in the league, finishing as the third highest scorer for this campaign (via BBC Sport).
Many Liverpool fans are eager to see their club sign a major talent like Sancho, but are losing their patience with Fenway Sports Group over the current financial situation. Responding to the news, one supporter has hit out at FSG, claiming ‘we aren’t on par with [Manchester] City, [Manchester] United or Chelsea’ in terms of funds.

ESPN recently quoted these three clubs to have big summer budgets, with City being described to have ‘unlimited’ money to spend.
