A fresh update on Liverpool’s mission to land Thiago Alcantara this summer has emerged.
The Reds could be edging closer to their first summer signing after Bayern Munich reportedly confirmed their asking price for the midfielder. According to Sport Bild (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), the Bundesliga outfit will allow Thiago to leave for a minimum fee of €30 million (£27m).
Should Liverpool keep or sell Gini Wijnaldum?
Liverpool would really benefit from bringing the 29-year-old to Anfield following the departure of Adam Lallana. With Gini Wijnaldum also yet to commit his future to the club, fans have already shown their desperation by admitting they would see the Dutchman go in favour of Thiago.
Now, supporters are even more eager to get the deal for the 42 career goal man over the line. The newly crowned Premier League champions must look to bolster their squad if they want to challenge to keep their crown their next season.
One Kopite has replied to the update, urging Fenway Sports Group to ‘make it happen’, whilst another has said Bayern Munich are ‘literally begging us now’ with their new price announcement.
