A talented defender in his own right, Sakho’s Liverpool tenure ended on a pretty sour note – with the defender having fallen out with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
Afte several months on the sidelines, Crystal Palace swooped him up on loan – and his tenure so far has been a very impressive one, quickly re-finding his best form.
Now it appears as though Liverpool will look to sell him this summer, with the Telegraph reporting that a fee of around £25 million will be demanded by the club. Crystal Palace are reportedly in the market for him, though the Telegraph notes that the Eagles may not be able to afford a move.
Whilst Sam Allardyce’s side may not be able to afford him, our landlord is confident that Liverpool will have no problem securing a deal for Sakho this summer. The defender has arguably been one of the success stories of the second-half of the season, offering a commanding defensive outlet for a team that is certainly on the rise.
The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern wouldn’t mind seeing him back at Anfield, with the Reds likely to invest in a bit of defensive reinforcement this summer.
