Ruben Neves

Ruben NevesLiverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited for Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League managerial debut this weekend and have had their day brightened by the latest transfer reports.

The German boss has welcomed a swoop for 18-year-old Porto wonder-kid Ruben Neves, with Liverpool making an informal approach to the Portuguese ace ahead of a potential swoop in the New Year.

Whilst many top-sides are believed to be interested in the player, Liverpool are the first to make their interest known officially and are prepared to make the player the highest paid teenager in world football.

Liverpool’s interest in Ruben Neves was first reported back in January and the Reds have kept an eye on the player since, watching him become Portugal’s youngest ever U21 international and a regular first-team member with Porto.

Scousers in the bar are delighted to hear their side are chasing one of European football’s brightest talents and are confident they can get a deal over the line, with first-team opportunities available that other parties may not be able to offer.

Liverpool fans, would a swoop for Ruben Neves be a good move? Let us know in the comments below!
