Liverpool fans are looking over to our landlord by the bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern and cannot wait to hear what the Independent think about Raheem Sterling as it seems he will be staying at Anfield.
Sterling is of course holding out when it comes to penning a new deal and despite allegations of money grabbing and failing to repay the faith the Reds have shown in him, and interest from Chelsea and Manchester City was strongly rumoured.
That will fall on deaf ears according to the Reds however and no matter who comes calling this summer or how much money they offer for Sterling, he will be allowed to run down his deal and leave before the Reds sell him – which we think would be a massive mistake by the Liverpool board.
