Liverpool & Man United in transfer reprieve for £2.3m man

Odegaard.jpgLiverpool & Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping it’s second time lucky after talkSPORT linked them with a swoop for Norwegian prodigy Martin Odegaard once more.

It is at this point that the majority of punters by the bar are confused after we all watched a bright eyed Odegaard proudly hold up the white jersey of Los Blancos after signing for the Spanish giants for £2.3 million only in January.

However, today’s reports claim the Norway international has been dropped out of the first team picture by Zinedine Zidane in Real Madrid’s Castilla (B-team) ranks  and amidst this crisis, Odegaard’s father is alarmed and ready to enter talks over what the future holds for his highly-rated son.

It is this period of crisis which Liverpool and Manchester United will be hoping to capitalise upon with 16-year-old Odegaard having captured the attentions of not only the English duo but the wider watching world in football, having remarkably made his senior international debut for Norway, aged just 15 in August 2014.

A lot was made of how much Real Madrid were going to be paying the teenage Odegaard back in January but talkSPORT claim he is currently earning £40,000-a-week in the Spanish capital.

Still incredible money for someone his age, it is this fact which in all honesty is making some of our regulars a little sick of the state of money in the game.

Liverpool fans. Odegaard’s move to Real Madrid was met with a lot of scepticism; will he really be on the move again so shortly? Let us know your thoughts below.
