More good news for the Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
It has been a fruitful start to the season on the pitch for Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp working his magic and leading the Reds to 4th spot in the Premier League.
However, whilst much of the attention is being placed on the success on the pitch – the Liverpool brand is also continuing to expand off of it too.
As per the Mirror, Liverpool have signed a lucrative three-year-deal with Malaysia Airlines, with the brand becoming the Reds’ official global airline partner.
Given Liverpool’s vast fanbase across Asia, the deal makes complete sense as Liverpool look to grow and expand as a club.
Our landlord thinks that the deal could also have implications on the field too, with the agreement likely increasing the funds available for Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool are following in the footsteps of the likes of Chelsea with the deal, as Premier League sides begin to branch out and form partnerships outside of football. Chelsea signed a similar deal with Delta Airlines several years ago.
