Liverpool should make a January swoop for this impressive former Chelsea man

If Liverpool want to keep competing in the Premier League, it’s vital they keep adding quality to the squad.

Time waits for no one in the Premier League, and despite having plenty of talent already in the ranks, you simply cannot afford to stand still at this level.

The upcoming January window gives the Reds the chance to make their moves in the market, and one area of the field which some would argue needs adding too still is at centre back.

And one man we think would be a superb signing is former Chelsea defender Nathan Ake.

Ake has been in superb form for Bournemouth ever since making the move to the Cherries from the Blues, and with his reputation growing by the week it seems, it’s surely not going to be long before clubs come knocking at the door of the Vitality Stadium.

The signing of Virgil Van Dijk and the emergence of Joe Gomez mean Liverpool do have quality at the back, but pairing those two with the ever impressive Ake would be perfect.

Ake is a quality operator who is only going to be keep getting better, and he’s someone who would no doubt be loved at Anfield if a move was completed.

Liverpool fans, what do you think? Would you welcome Ake to Anfield with open arms? Let us know in the comments!
