Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern will hope a break from the rigours of Premier League football can serve as a good break for many of their players.
Following the impressive win against Watford this weekend, it seems that Liverpool have retaken the mantel in the fight to finish second with Spurs hot on their heels. Even though this is not ideal, Jurgen Klopp must settle for a Champions League spot as a minimum, if he wants to build on the success of this year going into next season.
Liverpool have set Europe alight with their dazzling displays and their energetically attacking matches. Klopp has got them playing like a dangerous outfit and many in the bar feel that he is one, possibly two signings away from turning the Reds into genuine title contenders.
With the international break in full flow, this will be the perfect time to take a look at a few potential players that could turn this Reds side into title challengers. With that said, Klopp should be looking at these TWO potential Liverpool players for next season…
Alisson

The Brazilian goalkeeper is a must for next season should Klopp have desires to bring a trophy into his reign at Anfield. This season has seen Klopp chop and change between the sticks, which has caused a lot of confusion and mayhem within the back line of the Liverpool defence.
Alisson is Brazil’s and Roma’s number one keeper, and will no doubt bring a wealth of experience with him should he make the move in the summer months. Undoubtedly one of the best ‘stoppers in the world, he’d bring so much to Anfield.
James Tarkowski

James Tarkowski has deservedly been given a call-up to the England squad after being one of the best defenders in the Premier League for most of the season. The national stage will go to show at what level he is truly at and Klopp may be able to grab himself a relatively unknown in the transfer market on the cheap.
Only time will tell for the Burnley defender, but an impressive part played in the friendlies could move him on to bigger things.
