Liverpool fans are looking up with some interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it seem that one of their players could well be set to move to Serie A on loan – according to talkSPORT that is.

The Reds have seen a fair few of their new recruits fail to impress so far this season but it is a longer serving player that could be set for the exit door.

Lucas Leiva is apparently in talks with Inter Milan who are keen to bring him to the San Siro on loan for the remainder of the 2014/15 season and would be willing to discuss a permanent deal following the loan period should the spell prove successful.

Brendan Rodgers certainly has to deal with a couple of failures at the minute and as one of our punters notes, maybe he could negotiate a two-for-one deal with Roberto Mancini over Mario Balotelli who seems to have lost all the support of our regulars this season!
