Liverpool team news: Mane and Gomez provide Klopp with huge boost

Liverpool will meet Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night as they look to give themselves a great chance of qualifying for the next round of the Champions League.

The Reds will be looking to improve on their last European outing, which saw them beaten convincingly by Red Star Belgrade in Serbia and left the group wide open.

Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sit second and will know a victory will be enough for them to book their place in the next stage of the competition.

And, according to the club’s official website, the German manager has been handed a huge boost ahead of the game with the Ligue One giants.

Sadio Mane has been declared fit and available for the trip to Paris after having overcome a bout of illness.

Joe Gomez is also available for the game against PSG after being left out of the side against Watford at the weekend as a precaution.

The Verdict:

Liverpool will look to do the double over PSG on Wednesday night, knowing that the three points will be enough to get them through to the next round.

Klopp will be wary of their last away performance in the Champions League but will want his squad to use the motivation of a place in the next stage to help them get through the tough contest.

Having Mane and Gomez back will be a huge boost to the Anfield outfit’s chances, especially with the hosts being able to call upon the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
