Liverpool: These fans don’t want James Milner at left-back

Liverpool will need to assess the fitness of left-back Andrew Robertson ahead of tonight’s Champions League match against Napoli, as confirmed by the club’s Twitter channel @LFC.

The Reds reported on their official website liverpoolfc.com that the Scotland international did not train at Melwood yesterday morning as a precaution following a slight knock and his fitness will be checked in the hours before kick-off.

As Robertson is the only natural left-back in the Reds’ first team squad, James Milner could be deployed in the role if the Scotland man isn’t fit for tonight.

The 33-year-old midfielder has made 41 appearances at left-back for Liverpool, although 37 of those came during the 2016/17 season. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]

These Liverpool fans on Twitter aren’t convinced about Milner’s ability to adequately deputise for Robertson:
