Deal agreed for Fabian Mrozek
Polish publication Sportowe Fakty reported that 15-year-old goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek is to join Liverpool, with the deal becoming official upon his 16th birthday.
The Reds are expected to assign the teenager to their academy when he comes to England and the club have been highly impressed with the promise he has shown, according to Sportowe Fakty.
Sportowe Fakty added that the Anfield club want Mrozek to continue his development in the junior team at current club FC Wroclaw.
Verdict
Mrozek’s signing continues Liverpool’s recent favouring of teenage talents in the transfer market, with the Reds bringing in 17-year-old Sepp van den Berg and 16-year-old Harvey Elliott this summer.
Neither of those has played competitively for the first team as of yet, nor has Caoimhin Kelleher, another goalkeeper who came to Liverpool as a teenager.
The 20-year-old Irishman joined the club’s academy four years ago, as per the42.ie, but is still awaiting a senior debut, which gives an indication as to how long it may be before Reds fans see Mrozek at first team level.
Reds interested in Donyell Malen

Liverpool have shown an interest in signing PSV Eindhoven striker Donyell Malen, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.
It seems that the Reds are not alone in wanting the 20-year-old, though, with The Mirror claiming that Arsenal are keen on the £50m-rated Netherlands international, who is contracted to PSV until 2024 and had been sold by the Gunners for just £500,000 two years ago.
The Mirror added that as many as 45 clubs have been in contact with PSV about the striker.
Verdict
Malen has been in sensational form recently, scoring five goals in a recent Eredivisie game against Vitesse Arnhem, and his goal against Ajax at the weekend as his 11th in 14 PSV appearances this season. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]
He also made his senior Netherlands debut earlier this month and it was a memorable one as he scored in a Euro 2020 qualifiying win over Germany. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp rarely deviates from his preferred front three of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who between them have missed just one of the Reds’ first nine matches of the season.
However, Malen should offer stiff competition for the trio if he can maintain his recent scoring form, while his ability to play anywhere across the forward line makes him an ideal alternative to any of the current Liverpool front three.
Reds lead the race for Jude Bellingham
Liverpool are at the front of the queue to sign teenager Jude Bellingham from Birmingham and could aim to complete a deal before the January transfer window, according to 90min.com.
The report from 90min.com stated that the Reds have recently shown a strong interest in the 16-year-old midfielder and are keen to agree a deal for the player in the next few months.
According to 90min.com, Arsenal and Manchester City are also keen on the youngster, while Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund have sent scouts to watch him.
Verdict
Bellingham has been making waves in Birmingham’s first team recently, making five appearances for the senior side and scoring decisive goals in wins over Stoke and Charlton. [via TransferMarkt.co.uk]
If he can establish himself as a regular first team presence at St Andrew’s and continue his goalscoring form, he could be an ideal solution to a problem area for Liverpool.
Nine games into the season, not one of the Reds’ midfielders has registered a goal. Also, with James Milner’s contract expiring at the end of the campaign and Adam Lallana reduced to piecemeal minutes, and both players being over 30, Klopp may soon need some midfield recruits in succession to that duo.
