A fantastic first half of the Premier League season has got the Liverpool fans in the pub dreaming of a title-winning end to the season.

Players like Adam Lallana and Coutinho have been on fire this year, and if that fine form continues – the Reds are sure to challenge for Premier League supremacy as the year goes on.

However, one way that Klopp could risk having a decent challenge in the Premier League this season is by selling players. The Merseyside-based club don’t have a particularly big squad, and so losing players is a difficult process to recover from – particularly when the players being sold are vital to Jurgen Klopp’s plans.

The need for funds is ever present, and so Klopp will likely be tempted to do a few deals over the next few weeks, but if he wants to win the Premier League, he must avoid them at all costs.

With that said, Liverpool would be silly to axe these 2 players this month – Agreed?

 Daniel Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge has not really been a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans so far this season, but selling him would be a huge mistake.

Granted, Sturridge has rarely started this year – with Klopp often preferring Firmino up front – but the qualities that the Englishman could bring to this side are endless.

A couple of years ago he was one of the most feared strikers in Europe, and whilst injuries have taken their toll over the last few months, you don’t become a bad player overnight.

He can still be as dominant and as impressive as ever under Klopp, but the German just needs to find a way to bring the best out of him.

A sale wouldn’t make sense, especially given Liverpool’s lack of striking depth.

Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana has recently been the subject of huge interest from abroad, with the Times reporting that Barcelona, PSG and Juventus are all keen.

Obviously, the main temptation for Liverpool here would be to cash in for a huge sum of money – but in reality, the deal would make no sense for the Reds.

Lallana has arguably been their best player so far this season, and playing a role as significant as his surely comes with no set price tag.

The clubs are unlikely to offer anything close to what Liverpool value him at, so they shouldn’t think short-term and sell him. Klopp is playing the long-game at Liverpool, and Lallana will be vital to that process.
