The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have been showing their appreciation for their club as it’s been announced that their star man, Harry Kane, has signed a new contract keeping him at Tottenham until 2024. The Lilywhites can look forward to six more years of Harry Kane scoring great goals and lighting up North London.

The Spurs fans propping our bar up have been worried for a number of seasons that they could be losing out on Kane with the club’s wage structure previously stopping any player from earning more than £100,000 per week. The club looks to have smashed that structure out of the park with this deal for Kane who is reportedly set to earn a fee of around £15,000,000 a year for his six years at the club.
The fans will be hoping that Daniel Levy’s statement of intent with Kane’s deal is now extended to a number of other players. Mauricio Pochettino would love to have the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son all tied down on big money deals until the early 2020’s, although here’s a big question mark over whether Levy would shell out that sort of money on other players as well as his star striker.

The Tottenham fans in the Tavern have every reason to get excited over this one. The best striker in Europe very rarely plays for Spurs, but at the moment he does so the fans need to cherish his time there.
