Crystal Palace will return to Premier League action against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, however, they could be without one of their key players for the trip.
Roy Hodgson would have been hoping that all of his players that represented their national sides would have returned to south London without any injury concerns.
However, it appears things did not go to plan and one of his most important men is now facing a race against time in order to be fit for the game against Jose Mourinho’s side.
According to Get French Football News, Mamadou Sakho picked up a back injury in the first half of France’s friendly win against Uruguay on Tuesday evening.
Mamadou Sakho is set to be forced off & not rejoin in the 2nd half for France with back pain – potentially worrying for Crystal Palace.

Although there is no indication that his latest setback in serious, they do add that it could be potentially worrying news for the Eagles.
The Verdict:

Hodgson and Crystal Palace will now face an anxious wait to find out the true extent of his injury and will be hopeful he can play against Manchester United at the weekend.
The hosts will have already been considered strong favourites to win the match, however, Sakho’s possible absence will be a huge blow to the Eagles and one that they will hope will not be for too long if he does miss the fixture.
The Selhurst Park outfit have not had the best of results recently and the recent blow to the enforcer will have been the last thing they need.
