Man United fans on Twitter have the exact same message for Mourinho after Lukaku blow

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that their 24-year-old goal-getter, Romelu Lukaku will miss their clash with Brighton tomorrow, although he could still be fit for the FA Cup final on May 19th. Injury to the Belgian could provide Anthony Martial or Marcus Rashford a chance to get their foot in the door and the absence of Lukaku could provide that.

The United fans propping our bar up have been speculating in response to the Lukaku news over who they want to see start up front, with one name cropping up more than any other. Anthony Martial is the name on the fans’ lips. The French livewire has won over the fans in short time at Old Trafford and has scored nine goals alone this season, despite spending most of the season on the bench, behind both Rashford and Lukaku in the pecking order.

The chances for Martial were limited with just two players in front of him, however, in the January window when Mourinho opted to swap Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Alexis Sanchez, it bumped 22-year-old Martial further down the line. The Frenchman could be set to make his Old Trafford exit this summer, although now with Lukaku out injured, Martial could be thrown a spot in the first-team and a lifeline for his United career.
