Manchester United: Fans delighted as Fabrizio Romano sheds new light on Jadon Sancho transfer saga

Manchester United are edging closer to signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to transfer reports.

Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that the 11-cap England international winger is his top target in the transfer window.

According to Fabrizio Romano, as per @utdreport, Sancho has agreed personal terms with Solskjaer’s side and it is now up to the two clubs, which will take time to sort out a deal.

The 20-year-old is set to sign a five-year deal at Old Trafford, although they need to work out how the transfer fee will be paid by way of instalments and add-ons.

Recent reports claimed that the Red Devils and Dortmund remain far apart in their valuation of the England forward but Romano has confirmed that this is not the case.

Both clubs are reportedly confident that they can complete a deal which would see Sancho become the most expensive English football player in history, with Ed Woodward expected to part ways with €100m (£90m) over a series of three separate transactions, including an additional €20m (£18.1m) for performance-related bonuses.

If all goes well, an agreement could be reached in the coming days, although it seems as though talks are heading in the right direction.

Naturally, many United fans on social media gushed over this “huge” update, with several supporters dubbing the news “amazing” and “brilliant”.
