Many Manchester United fans have reacted to comments made by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about his current squad and potential transfer business ahead of the transfer deadline day.
Having played two games already this season in the Premier League, United find themselves sat in the lower half of the table after winning one, barely, and losing the other.
Solskjaer has been reserved in his transfer business this summer so far, bringing in one new face, Donny van de Beek, who arrived from Ajax for £35.1m.
Numerous players have been linked to United over the last few weeks and with the transfer window coming to an end, all eyes will be on the Red Devils to see if any new players come in to Old Trafford.
Discussing his side’s transfer activity, Solskjaer has said that he feels his squad is strong enough for the season ahead, despite saying that they needed to strengthen a few weeks ago.
The Telegraph’s James Ducker shared the comments via Twitter and many United fans have issued a response.
Solskjaer in unenviable position. Won’t criticise the club but now finds himself defending the strength of squad with four days until the close of the window only weeks after saying he needed more depth and having watched all his rivals strengthen #mufc https://t.co/wVsJfgG867

Here we take a look at some of those fan responses…
What is he meant to do? I wouldn’t openly criticise my manager to colleagues or the wider population, so why would he?
He gave a balanced view so not to knock the confidence of the players he has, and will probably have to work with many of them aagin this season…

It’s going to come back and haunt him… he’ll be gone in January. Should man up and resign now rather than be made a scapegoat when we are 9th in January.

As it stands and with this current squad he’ll be gone by end of season.

Ole will lose his job due to this

This squad as it is will not get top four and if they are far behind top four before season ends Ole will get the sack

He should walk then or speak up…entirely his fault when he’s says happy with squad and we mid table by Xmas…
