Man United: Plenty of fans delighted with latest FA Cup draw

If Manchester United beat Derby tonight the Reds will face Norwich City away in the FA Cup quarter-finals after the Canaries pulled off a surprise by beating Tottenham Hotspur on penalties.

Norwich currently sit rock bottom of the Premier League and if United can get past the Rams it’s fair to say this should be a routine win. Indeed, the Red Devils have won 7 out of the past 8 fixtures against the Canaries, most recently battering the Norfolk side 4-0 back in January. Marcus Rashford bagged a brace with Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial adding the extras (WhoScored).

Unsurprisingly many Red Devils fans are delighted with the announcement and shared their reactions on Twitter. One United fan remarked the Norwich tie presents a “great chance of getting to Wembley.”

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side shouldn’t overlook an inconsistent Derby team led by former United star Wayne Rooney. The club lie in 13th place in the Championship, and although the Rams have struggled to replicate the form that carried them to the play-offs last year, Derby have beaten Crystal Palace en route to the FA Cup fifth round (WhoScored).
