After one of the best seasons so far in the Premier League since they last won the league, our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are still dubious about going into next season with Jose Mourinho.
No doubt Mourinho has finally turned United around, after a fair few years languishing in and around the Europa League places. Still, according to our regulars in the bar, the football at times has been painful to watch and a million miles away from what the Old Trafford faithful expect to see.
Indeed, even if Mourinho has brought United two trophies in his first year, can he really push the Red Devils onto the next level?
The Portuguese man is hitting his infamous third year at the club, with many inside the pub just waiting for the ticking time bomb to go off, despite signing a contract extension recently. With that in our landlord’s mind, he looks to TWO other managers Ed Woodward should be looking at in case the inevitable happenings…
Laurent Blanc

The Frenchman knows the fabric of the club from his time year during the early 2000’s. His successful years at both PSG and with the French national team, have given him a good reputation within the game, despite his lack of Champions League nous.
With Blanc, United could return to the attacking and free-flowing football they are used to see at Old Trafford. Whilst many of the regulars are unsure if he can cut it in England, the majority believe that Blanc would be a great appointment.
Maurizio Sarri

The Napoli coach is taking Serie A by storm this season, with his high pressing and attacking football style. This would sit well with the fans in the bar, and seem as a step forward with some people questioning Mourinho’s old-school tactics this season.
If United could lure Sarri to the Premier League, it would be very exciting to see what style he can bring to England.
