Manchester United fans are looking rather unimpressed here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mail seems to think that Jorge Mendes has been hitting out at Louis van Gaal once again.
The Manchester United boss has been coming under fire from the super agent in recent weeks and all because of one man – Radamel Falcao.
The Colombian forward is on loan from Monaco this season and the chances of a permanent move for the striker are looking more and more remote after not only being frozen out on occasions but also failing to impress when given a chance – just like at Cambridge United last night.
Mendes defended his client once again and hinted that he would be better off under former Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson, claiming to La Sexta: “I would have liked it if Falcao was with [former Man Utd manager] Sir Alex Ferguson.
“He is a player who needs to play 90 minutes and I don’t understand [why he isn’t].”
We think that Mendes needs to let this one lie and allow his player to do the talking on the pitch, and then see if he can work his way into the good graces of van Gaal.
