It has been a tale of two halves this season for both sides, though both for very different reasons.
Man Utd started slowly, though have really impressed in recent months – whilst Liverpool were unstoppable until the end of 2016, with the last few months being tough going for Jurgen Klopp and co.
Next season, then, will likely bring with it more success than this year – with both Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho needing to scour the globe for a bit of fresh talent.
Seemingly, that is exactly what both sides have been doing – with Portuguese outlet A Bola reporting that they have both sent scouts to watch Porto midfielder Danilo.
The in-demand midfielder, who is reportedly being tracked by a host of sides, is quickly emerging as a top target for both Premier League teams as they look to improve their teams ahead of next season.
Naturally a more defensive midfielder, Danilo has been in fine form for Porto this season, and has made 20 appearances in the Portuguese top flight.
Will he be a good fit? Our landlord thinks that with Michael Carrick still without a new deal ahead of next season, Danilo could fit in perfectly.
