The Chelsea academy is producing some of England’s best young talent – and it would appear that one of their youngest stars is a man in-demand.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea youngster Reece James is attracting the interest of Man Utd, as Jose Mourinho prepares for the future with his new club.
The Manchester giants are not alone, however, as the Daily Mail are also reporting that James is courting interest from abroad – with emerging German giants RB Leipzig also tracking the young English star.
Whilst Reece James is not a particularly well-known name in the Football Transfer Tavern, a few of the Chelsea fans in attendance have been waxing lyrical about his potential over the last few weeks.
James has been with Chelsea since he was young, but only over the last few months has he truly begun to flourish in Chelsea’s developmental system.
He began his development as a forward – but has more recently transitioned into both a midfield and defensive role – with the youngster’s versatility a particularly promising aspect of his game.
A technical, right-footed player – Reece James is beginning to look like a real star.
He has already made 5 appearances for the Chelsea developmental teams this season – and our landlord is expecting many more to come.
