Manchester City fans are looking towards our landlord who is currently at the pool table here in the Football Transfer Tavern and asking to hear what Metro have to say about a former Chelsea midfielder.
City are reportedly about to open talks with Wolfsburg over Kevin De Bruyne, who left Stamford Bridge in the summer and who has been sensational this season in the Bundesliga so far.
Many Manchester City fans inside the Transfer Tavern feel the club are in need of a revamp in the middle of the park – although quite if De Bruyne would really be worth the £45 million quoted in some quarters for the star remains to be seen.
Our landlord also points out that Manuel Pellegrini could well lose his job this summer and the new manager may not fancy De Bruyne at all!
